LG GLD0536VRSW, 43L 3-StarCheck price ↗This page compares 16 refrigerators listed at or under ₹15,000 on Amazon on 3 October 2026: seven full-size single doors (165 to 190 L) and nine small minibars (43 to 50 L). Each shows the BEE star checked against the government star-label register, plus annual kWh, compressor warranty and the Amazon price on 31 October 2026.
We do not test refrigerators. Figures come from Amazon listings, maker pages where one exists, and the BEE register. Where they disagree, the page says which we followed.
Best Refrigerator Under 15000: Our Picks

Godrej RD R190CN THF FR BL (Floral Blue), 183L 3-Star
Best single door under ₹15,000: Godrej RD R190CN THF FR BL (Floral Blue), 183L 3-Star, about ₹14,800 on 31 October 2026. We decided on register-backed star, then annual kWh, then compressor warranty: it is 3 star with an exact register match and 145 kWh a year, the lowest of the seven full-size models, so it is also our lowest-electricity full-size pick.
Its listed 182 kWh is 37 kWh above the register’s 145, so use the register figure.

Blue Star MR60-2GB (Black), 45L 2-Star
Best minibar under ₹10,000: Blue Star MR60-2GB (Black), 45L 2-Star, about ₹8,900 on 31 October 2026. Among the nine minibars, exact register matches come first. Three have one: this Blue Star, the MR60-2GG (no Amazon price that day) and the Solimo (1 star, no price). Only this one has a price and a 2 star label the register confirms.

LG GLD0536VRSW (Super White), 43L 3-Star Minibar
The only LG here: LG GLD0536VRSW (Super White), 43L 3-Star Minibar, a 43 L minibar at about ₹10,000 on 31 October 2026.
What ₹15,000 Actually Buys in India
Under ₹10,000, the real refrigerators are 43 to 50 L minibars. Of the 192 Amazon listings we read on 3 October 2026 at that price, only 13 were compressor refrigerators, all minibars. Most of the rest were fridge covers, door gaskets, stands and 4 to 10 L thermoelectric coolers.
From ₹10,001 to ₹15,000 the listings are mostly single-door direct-cool fridges at 1 to 3 star, and the full-size ones in our set run from 165 to 190 L. None of the 16 here is above 3 star. In the 3 October 2026 listings, 4 and 5 star single doors started at roughly ₹15,000 to ₹18,000. The cheapest frost-free double door we saw that day was a Midea 233 L at about ₹20,000.
16 Refrigerators Under ₹15,000 Compared: Star, kWh, Warranty, Price
All 16 are direct-cool, so every star below is from BEE’s direct-cool scheme. Frost-free fridges are rated under a separate scheme, and a 5 star direct-cool is not on the same kWh scale as a 5 star frost-free.
Single door, 165 to 190 L
“Exact” means the register lists this model’s code, which for the two Godrej models and the Voltas Beko is its base code. “Near” means a shorter or slightly different family code, which for the two Sharp models is the base code SJ-MRW055N3 without the colour suffix. Near also covers the two Whirlpool models, which have no code in the register and were matched on brand, litres and star. “None found” means we could not tie the model to a register entry, which does not prove the claim false.

How to read the tables. Star, kWh and register match follow the BEE register, checked 4 October 2026. Ratings are as of 3 October 2026 (Blue Star MR60-2GG 4 October). “Shared” means the count covers the listing’s colour and size variants and, for the Haier HED-203TDSA-N and Whirlpool 205 WDE CLS 2S, a sibling model, so we never add counts together. Compressor warranty is per the Amazon listing, and the maker’s page says the same for the Whirlpool 205 WDE CLS 2S and the Voltas Beko. The Whirlpool 205 WDE PRM 3S figure is per Whirlpool’s own page.
Does the Star on the Listing Match the Government Register?
Not always. BEE’s current labels run from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2028, and 1,378 of the 1,379 refrigerator records we read across 13 brands are valid until then. Where a listing or maker page differs, we used the register.
| Model | What the listing or maker page says | What the register says |
|---|---|---|
| Solimo SOLVMB50 | 2 star (Amazon listing) | 1 star, 179 kWh, the same kWh the listing gives |
| Godrej RD R190CN | 182 kWh a year (Amazon listing) | 3 star, 145 kWh |
| Godrej RD EDGE 205AN | 186 kWh in the spec line, 189 in a bullet (Amazon listing) | 1 star, 185 kWh |
| Whirlpool 205 WDE CLS 2S | 190 kWh (Whirlpool’s page, which shows energy year 2023) | 170 kWh, which the Amazon listing also gives |
| Whirlpool 205 WDE PRM 3S | 170 kWh (Whirlpool’s page) | 149 to 150 kWh, and the Amazon listing says 150 |
| Sharp SJ-MRW055N3 | Title says 2 star, spec line says 3 star (Amazon listing) | 2 star, 152 kWh |
Godrej’s R190CN listing also has a size line reading “183 L (2 Star)” against a 3 star title, and the register agrees with the title. Its listed 182 kWh is 37 kWh above the register’s 145, so use the register figure.
Annual Electricity Use: What the Star Means in kWh
A star is a band, and kWh a year is the number inside it. In the register records for 40 to 55 L direct-cool minibars, 1 star is 175 to 179 kWh, 2 star is 152 to 157 and 3 star is 135 to 138. We give no rupee running cost on this page.
- The Godrej RD R190CN (3 star, 183 L) uses 145 kWh a year: 40 kWh less than Godrej’s 1 star RD EDGE 205AN (180 L, 185 kWh) and 25 kWh less than the 2 star Whirlpool 205 WDE CLS 2S (184 L, 170 kWh).
- The 3 star LG minibar is the lowest of all 16 at 138 kWh. The 1 star Haier HED-171MSA-P (165 L) is the highest at 191.

Rockwell Mini Fridge MB49, 47 L minibar
We could not tie the live Amazon listing to this model code, so there is no Amazon price and no buy link for this exact model. It is the only one of the 16 we could not tie to the register, and the listing’s 171 kWh sits above the register’s 2 star band for this size.
Solimo SOLVMB50, 45 L minibar
This is Amazon’s own brand, and we could not tie the live listing to this code, so it has no price and no buy link. The register lists it at 1 star with 179 kWh, while the listing prints 2 star.
Who Should Not Buy a Refrigerator Under ₹15,000
- Anyone who needs a frost-free double-door fridge, including a 5 star one. We found none at or under ₹15,000 on 3 October 2026; the cheapest frost-free double door we saw was a Midea at about ₹20,000. For the trade-offs, read single door vs double door.
- Anyone buying a minibar as the main family fridge. The brands’ own copy points to bachelors, students, couples or personal use for 43 to 50 L. Cruise’s listing is the broadest: families of 2 to 3 members or bachelors.
How to Choose a Size: What Brands Say About Household Size
No maker states litres per person, and brand copy on the listings disagrees: Godrej says families of 1 to 2 members for its 180 L, while Whirlpool says families of 2 to 3 for its 184 L. These are brand claims, not our sizing rule. If you are unsure, choose by the tables: star, kWh a year, compressor warranty and price.
Where These Figures Come From
We read each Amazon India listing on 3 October 2026 (Blue Star MR60-2GG on 4 October), checked star and kWh against BEE’s register on 4 October, and took prices from Amazon on 31 October 2026. Method: how we research.
What We Could Not Confirm
For 10 of the 16 we found no maker page that lists the model, and for Cruise and the two Blue Star models only a category page, so those specs are per the Amazon listing, checked against the register where it has a record. We could not settle the Whirlpool inverter question, the Voltas Beko warranty term or the Rockwell register entry.
