“Amazon listing” = only Amazon published that value. “Pooled” = count proven shared with another listing. Only the two Prestige models and the Bajaj 2200 TMSS are standalone; the other counts sit in variation families, pooling unverified. Ratings and rating counts are as of 30 October 2026, except the Glen 35L, iBELL 40L and USHA 42L, which stay at September 2026.
Where Amazon Listings and Makers Disagree
- Warranty is not a flat 2 years. Of the 13 OTGs in our set, 5 carry 1 year (three AGARO, two Prestige) and 8 carry 2 years. iBELL’s 2 years is 1 year plus 1 year on registration (per the Amazon listing); the AGARO Marvel 48L manual adds 6 months if you register within 30 days.
- Unconfirmed convection. The Bajaj 1603T’s Amazon listing says “Convection – Yes” and “Rotisserie: Yes”. Bajaj’s page lists neither, and neither contents list includes a rotisserie rod: both not confirmed. AGARO’s 2023 blog calls the Marvel 25L a “Convection Oven”; its product page lists no fan.
- Makers contradict themselves on wattage. Prestige’s POTG 19 PCR page says 1380 W in its spec table and “1500 Watts” in its title; the manual says 1380 W. The Morphy Richards 60 RCSS page says “1700W” in its highlights and 2000 W in its specification; manual and Amazon listing say 2000 W.
- Wrong manuals on Amazon. The AGARO Marvel 9L and 25L listings attach the Marvel 48L manual; the Wonderchef 60L listing attaches a 9-litre, 650 W Wonderchef manual. Check a manual’s model number first.
- Shared review counts. As of 30 September 2026, two are proven pools: the Glen 35L’s 2,758 ratings are shared with Glen’s 18L listing, and the iBELL 40L’s 1,506 with iBELL’s 25L. Eight more listings sit in variation families whose siblings we did not check, so pooling is unverified. Only the two Prestige models and the Bajaj 2200 TMSS are standalone.
- In stock on Amazon, sold out at the maker. Of the 10 models whose maker product page we read, 5 showed sold out or backordered there on 30 September 2026: AGARO 25L, Bajaj 1603T, Bajaj 1000TSS, Glen 35L, Morphy Richards 60 RCSS. We did not recheck the maker pages on 30 October 2026. All 13 were in stock on Amazon on 30 September 2026. On 30 October 2026, Amazon showed 11 of the 13 models as available; the Amazon links for the iBELL 40L and USHA 42L opened a different model that day, so we could not confirm them.
- No air frying. None of the 11 models with a maker source, and none of the 13 Amazon listings, claims an air-fry function. The Morphy Richards 60 RCSS page lists an “Air Fryer Basket” in its contents; its manual lists no such part and no air-fry mode. See air fryer vs OTG.
How we chose and checked these 13
We took Amazon.in OTG listings on 30 September 2026: OTGs only, rated 3.7 or higher on at least 200 ratings, ranked by displayed review count within three Amazon price segments (under ₹5,000, ₹5,000-9,000, above ₹9,000), at most two per brand per segment. Result: 5 budget, 5 mid, 3 upper (only 3 listings above ₹9,000 passed). The AGARO 25L (₹4,975 on that date, about ₹5,000 rounded) was just under ₹5,000. Segment labels in this guide use those 30 September 2026 prices; the picks and table show 30 October 2026 prices. OTGs not here failed a filter or ranked below the cut. The set reflects rating and review count, not sales. Excluding pooled counts would swap the Glen 35L and iBELL 40L for the INALSA Master Chef 24 RSS (948 ratings) and iBELL EO50LGDLX (817). The Best OTG for Each Kitchen
Best for most families: Glen SA5035BLRC 35L
Criterion: a mid-segment model whose fan, rotisserie and 2-year warranty are all maker-confirmed. It is the only mid-segment model in our set with all three.
Specs: 35 L, 2100 W, “Turbo Convection fan”, motorised rotisserie, 60-minute timer with hold, 2 years. Amazon price about ₹7,000 on 30 October 2026. Glen’s FAQ: “A 30 to 45 litre OTG suits most families”.
Rating: 4.0★ across 2,758 ratings, September 2026, pooled with Glen’s 18L listing.
Caveats: its 90-230 °C range is per the Amazon listing; Glen’s page gives none. Sold out on Glen’s site on 30 September 2026. Glen lists India as the country of manufacture; the Amazon listing’s manufacturer entry names a company in Guangdong, PRC.

Morphy Richards’ printed cake band has an apparent misprint, so we omit it.
Rods: Prestige, AGARO, Glen, Wonderchef and USHA say top and bottom; Borosil says “use the bake mode (bottom rods on)”.
Fan: Morphy Richards says “Press the convection function button” to bake; USHA’s BAKE runs without it; Wonderchef says convection “is not required”.
Size: Wonderchef: “19L fits a 7-inch round pan with 3-4cm clearance”. Glen suggests “a 42 to 48-litre OTG” for “multiple trays”.
Placement: the Prestige, AGARO, Morphy Richards and USHA manuals ask for about 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance. Wonderchef’s FAQ says “there is no rule to leave space”; its own 9-litre manual says four inches. Follow the manuals.
Who should NOT buy an OTG
- Reheaters and defrosters. Wonderchef’s FAQ says an OTG “cannot be used to heat and defrost”. See OTG vs oven and oven vs microwave.
- Air-fry seekers. No maker source or Amazon listing among our 13 claims it; see our best air fryer under ₹5,000.
