Aquaguard Sure Delight 1XRO+MC, free service₹6,800Amazon, 8 Nov 2026★ 4.2Check price ↗Prices and ratings in the boxes above are Amazon selling prices read on 8 Nov 2026, rounded to the nearest ₹100. Models are the most-rated ones for each brand, shown as examples, not a ranking. Prices quoted in the text below are from the dates given beside them and may differ from today’s Amazon price.
Aquaguard vs KENT RO is best settled model against model. This page uses each maker’s product pages, manuals, price lists, service terms and blogs, plus the IS 10500 drinking water standard, all read 30 September 2026. Apart from the where-to-buy section near the end, prices are each maker’s storefront that day; differences are our arithmetic. For ranked picks, see best water purifier in India.
The short answer. Neither brand wins on published recovery figures: where we found one, both state 40% or more. The difference is what each publishes. KENT prints a purification rate (20 L/hr) and its spare-part prices and, for some models, AMC prices. Aquaguard prints a higher maximum input TDS (2,000 mg/L, against 1,500 mg/liter in KENT’s manuals) and a 2-year filter-life claim on its 2X models, but no filter or AMC tier prices on the pages we read.
- Lean Aquaguard if your water’s TDS is between 1,500 and 2,000 mg/l, or you want the lowest-priced RO model we could price from either maker (Sure Delight NXT, about ₹10,500 on 30 September 2026).
- Lean KENT if you want to budget from published spare-part prices (and, on the Grand Plus, a published ₹2,000 AMC), or want the “1 Year Warranty + 3 Years Free Service” that four of the KENT models we read carry.
Aquaguard vs KENT RO: Aquaguard is a brand, not a technology
Aquaguard is Eureka Forbes’ purifier brand; the legal-metrology block on its product pages names Eureka Forbes Limited as manufacturer. Its catalogue spans technologies: on 30 September 2026 the UV category read “Showing 8 of 52 results” and the RO category “Showing 8 of 124 results”, and the UV list includes non-RO models such as the Aquaguard Sure Delight 2X UV+UF. So “Aquaguard or RO” sets a brand against a technology. We found no Eureka Forbes sentence saying this outright; the catalogue shows it. KENT’s manuals name the maker as KENT RO Systems Ltd.
Aquaguard vs KENT RO, model against model
| Pair | Model | Technology (maker’s words) | Storage | Rate | Max input TDS, as published | Offer price, 30 Sep 2026 (rounded) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Aquaguard Sure Delight NXT | RO+UV+UF | 6 L | Not published | 0 to 2,000 mg/L | About ₹10,500 |
| 1 | KENT New Grand | RO+UF+TDS Control+UV in Tank | 7.5 L | 20 L/hr | Not on its page | About ₹13,500 |
| 2 | Aquaguard Sure Hydra 2X | RO+UV+UF | 6.2 L (approx.) | Not published | Up to 2,000 mg/L | About ₹16,000 |
| 2 | KENT Ace Plus | RO+UV+UF+Alkaline+Copper+TDS Control | 8 L | 20 L/hr | Not on its page | About ₹15,600 |
| 3 | Aquaguard Enrich Aura 2X Life | RO+UV, Active Copper | 7 L | Not published | 0 to 2,000 mg/L | About ₹16,500 |
| 3 | Aquaguard Enrich Ritz | RO+UV, Active Copper with Zinc Booster | 5.5 L | Not published | Up to 2,000 PPM | About ₹17,200 |
| 3 | KENT Supreme Plus Neo | RO+UF+Inline UV+Alkaline+Copper+TDS Control | 8 L | 20 L/hr | 1,500 mg/liter (manual) | About ₹17,500 |
| 3 | KENT Ace Plus Neo | RO+UF+Inline UV+Alkaline+Copper+TDS Control | 8 L | 20 L/hr | 2,000 mg/L (page FAQ only) | About ₹17,500 |
Price. Pair 1: the KENT costs about ₹3,000 more. Pair 2: the Aquaguard costs about ₹400 more. Pair 3: the KENTs sit about ₹300 above the Ritz and about ₹1,000 above the Aura 2X (our arithmetic). On a ₹10,000 cap, see best water purifier under ₹10,000.
Rate. KENT prints 20 L/hr for all four KENT models here. We found no litres-per-hour figure in the spec data of the Aquaguard pages we read.
Input TDS. KENT contradicts itself: the Supreme Plus Neo manual says “Maximum Operatable Feed Water TDS 1500 mg/liter”, its page FAQ says 2,000 mg/L. We use the manual. The manual linked from the New Grand page is for a different model (KENT Grand, code 111119), so we use none there.
Recovery. The KENT Supreme Plus Neo and Grand Plus manuals state “Recovery Rating (Min.) 40%”; Eureka Forbes says the Sure Hydra 2X “ensures more than 40% water recovery”. No published advantage either way. Eureka Forbes’ “60% water savings” claims are set against “regular” or “standard” RO purifiers the pages do not define, so we do not treat them as recovery rates.
Stages are not comparable: Eureka Forbes states counts (the Aura 2X page states both 8 and 10), while KENT describes a “multiple purification process”.
Warranty and free service, word for word
| Aquaguard (models above) | KENT (models above) | |
|---|---|---|
| Warranty | “1 year warranty included” | “1 Year Warranty” (New Grand) or “1 Year Warranty Period” |
| Free service at purchase | “Free Service Plan worth ₹2,000 including free installation, 1 free maintenance visit and unlimited repair visits” | None stated |
| Longer terms elsewhere (prices 30 September 2026) | Enrich Glory 2X, about ₹16,000: “4-Year Free Service Plan worth ₹6,000” | “1 Year Warranty + 3 Years Free Service” on Grand Plus, Excell Plus, Grand Star, Pride Plus; “2-Year Warranty Period” on Supreme Plus Neo 2Y, about ₹21,500 |
KENT’s offer is 1 year of warranty plus 3 years of free service, not 4 years of either, and on those four models among the KENT pages we read.
Two Aquaguard pages disagree with themselves. The Aura 2X box says “1 year warranty included”; its copy promises “a 2-year comprehensive product warranty”. The Sure Hydra 2X box lists “1 free maintenance visit”; its copy says “2 free cleaning service”. Get the term in writing before you buy.
What it costs after year 1
KENT: published, so it can be added up
| Part (KENT spare-parts price list) | Code | MRP |
|---|---|---|
| RO membrane 8″ high flow | 200529 | ₹3,375 |
| Inline sediment filter 8″ | 200010 | ₹650 |
| Inline carbon filter 8″ | 200009 | ₹650 |
| Post carbon filter (blue) | 200015 | ₹525 |
| Hollow fibre membrane (UF) | 200003 | ₹750 |
| Set listed in the Grand Plus manual | ₹5,950 (our arithmetic) |
Prices w.e.f. 2 March 2026, read 30 September 2026; at MRP, excluding FRT and labour.
The Grand Plus and Supreme Plus Neo manuals say to replace the sediment, carbon and post-carbon filters “after every 12 months” (or at the filter alarm) and to “Replace the RO membrane once in a year”. The Grand Plus page FAQ says 6 months for sediment and carbon; we use the manual. The FRT the manual recommends changing is not on the price list, and the same manual’s spec names a post carbon plus alkaline filter, which lists at ₹800 and would make the set ₹6,225 (our arithmetic).
KENT’s AMC table (w.e.f. 2 March 2026) lists ₹2,000 a year for the Grand Plus. It states: “Consumable parts such as carbon filter, sediment filter, UF membrane, RO membrane, post carbon filter, etc. are not covered in AMC.” The Grand Plus product-page FAQ says the AMC “covers filter replacements”; we follow the AMC terms. A ₹1,000 Service AMC covers labour and visit charges only. The Supreme Plus Neo, Ace Plus Neo, New Grand and Supreme IoT are not in the table.
So a Grand Plus year on AMC with one full set is ₹7,950 (our arithmetic), before FRT and labour. We do not stretch this to five years: the Grand Plus includes 3 years of free service, this page has no KENT text defining what that covers, so we cannot say which years would need an AMC.
Aquaguard: why the same total cannot be built
Two inputs are missing from the pages we read. Filter and kit prices: the genuine-filters page loads its products in the browser, and the text we could read listed none. AMC tier prices: the only figure is “Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) plans start from ₹599”. The tier structure (new AMCs from 23 April 2024) is published:
| Base | Silver | Gold | Platinum | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free maintenance visits a year | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| Consumables | 25% off, once in the AMC period | One free kit a year excluding membrane, “to be charged at 50% discount” | One free kit a year | One free kit a year |
| Spares | At MRP | 10% off | Free on repair visits | Free on repair visits |
All four tiers include free repair visits. For RO models the terms define the kit to include the RO membrane (Silver excepts it), where KENT’s AMC excludes consumables; without tier prices, that difference cannot be priced.
Filter life comes with conditions. The Sure Hydra 2X filters “last for 2 years or 12,000 litres, whichever is earlier, under standard lab test conditions: TDS ≤ 1000 ppm with NaCl”; the Sure Delight NXT cartridge offers “up to 1 year or 6000 litres”. Above about 16.4 litres a day, the Sure Hydra 2X’s litre limit arrives first (our arithmetic: 12,000 litres over 730 days).
The TDS decision rule, from the standard
IS 10500:2012 sets total dissolved solids at an acceptable limit of 500 mg/l and a permissible limit of 2,000 mg/l in the absence of an alternate source. Its note says values above acceptable “render the water not suitable, but still may be tolerated in the absence of an alternative source”, up to the permissible limit, “above which the sources will have to be rejected”. We read a Public.Resource.Org copy of the BIS publication and did not check later amendments.
Both makers say only RO lowers TDS. Eureka Forbes: “Only RO (Reverse Osmosis) purifiers are designed to reduce TDS levels.” KENT says its UV+UF Maxx cannot remove dissolved salts without an RO membrane. Their thresholds differ:
| Published by | Non-RO suggested | RO suggested |
|---|---|---|
| KENT blog | 0 to 200 (UV) | 200 to 300 (RO+UV); 300 to 500 (RO+UV+UF) |
| KENT catalogue | Up to 150 mg/litre (UV with UF) | Not stated |
| Eureka Forbes TDS blog | Under 200 mg/L | Above 500 mg/L |
| Another Eureka Forbes blog | Below 300 ppm | Above 300 ppm |
Our reading:
- Below 150 mg/l: all four rules suggest non-RO.
- 150 to 500: the rules disagree, Eureka Forbes’ two included.
- 500 to 1,500: above the acceptable limit. Both Eureka Forbes blogs call for RO; KENT’s table calls for RO from 200 and ends at 500.
- 1,500 to 2,000: Aquaguard’s published input limit covers it; KENT’s manuals stop at 1,500.
- Above 2,000: past the permissible limit and every published input limit above.
A 2021 Eureka Forbes blog says IS 10500 makes “up to 900 milligrams per litre” acceptable. The standard says 500.
What we could not verify
- Aquaguard purification rate, for any model we read.
- Aquaguard filter, kit and AMC tier prices, and recovery figures beyond the Sure Hydra 2X and Enrich Glory 2X.
- What KENT’s 3 years of free service include.
- Reliability or service quality for either brand.
- IS 10500 amendments after 2012, and IS 16240, which KENT’s manuals cite.

FAQs
Are RO and Aquaguard the same?
No. RO is a technology; Aquaguard is Eureka Forbes’ brand, and its catalogue lists RO, UV and UV+UF models. Check the model name for “RO” if you need TDS lowered.
Eureka Forbes or Kent?
Check your water’s TDS first, then compare at the same price. Between 1,500 and 2,000 mg/l, Aquaguard’s published input limit fits and KENT’s manuals do not. Below that, choose on what each publishes: KENT its rate, its spare-part prices and, for some models, an AMC price; Aquaguard a 2-year filter-life claim on 2X models and a free service plan with the models above. For RO picks, see best RO water purifier.
